Home Portrait Parties are a great -- and fun -- way to get top-quality, professional portraiture for you and your friends. Just host a Portrait Party and invite six or more families. Professional photographer Carrie Zylka will bring the studio to your home and provide mini-portrait sessions for you and your guests.

WHAT IS A PORTRAIT PARTY?

Party Host/Hostess and their guests will each enjoy a quick, fun portrait session with Carrie. Each mini-session is just 15 minutes. One background. One outfit. You can have your children, yourself, family, mom and kids, dad and kids, etc. photographed. Just stick to 15 minutes (no exceptions!). Guests will be photographed in the order in which they arrive.

The Party Host/Hostess should provide light refreshments for the guests. After each session, guests can stay and visit with the Host/Hostess and the other friends -- or not. There will be no sales made at the party and no pressure. Just have fun!

Portrait proofs from the party will be available for viewing ONLINE within seven (7) days of the party. ALL orders must be placed with the Party Host/Hostess within fourteen (14) days. Party Host/Hostess will then deliver ALL the orders from the Party to Carrie Zylka. All completed portrait orders will be delivered to the Party Host/Hostess.

THE PARTY HOST/HOSTESS EARNS PORTRAIT REWARDS BASED ON THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF SALES FROM THE PARTY!

All you need is a room in your home with large windows (or a nice outdoor area). Carrie loves using natural light for her portraiture! If you live in an apartment or do not have large open windows please let Carrie know up front so she can bring adequate lighting.
The room itself does not have to be very big. You will also want another room (kitchen?) available for visiting with your guests after the sessions.

Limited dates are available for Portrait Parties. If you're interested in hosting a party, email or call Carrie and ask to be placed on the Host/Hostess Waiting List. Be sure to let Carrie know how you plan to promote your party and about how many guests you think you might have. You MUST have six guests AT your party to receive Portrait Rewards. First come first serve on available dates. Portrait Party Host/Hostesses must EARN their Portrait Rewards by following the Portrait Party policies. Please make sure you are willing to do this before you ask to host a party!

If you have a nice outdoor area at your home, that can be used as well. Please note that the entire party will use just one background. Be sure to let your guests know which background you will be using, so they can dress appropriately. Color, black & white, or specialty-toned prints are available from any image.

During the party, you will need to make sure that each family completes a Client Information Form (provided by Carrie).
You will need to keep a Master List of all guests photographed at the Party (so Carrie can later match up images to names!) Host/Hostesses must remain at the Party the whole time. Please plan on visiting with any guests who'd like to stay and chat after their session. Guests bringing children should plan on arriving no more than five minutes prior to their session time.
If the little ones start playing before the session, it will be harder to settle them down for their portraits!

When the proofs from the Party are posted online, will contact each guest that provided an email address on their Clint Information Page and let them know.
Host/Hostesses are responsible for collecting the orders from their guests and submitting to Carrie with payment within fourteen (14) days.
Host/Hostess' order and any balance due should be submitted to Carrie with the other party orders. Carrie will deliver the finished portraits to the Host/Hostess and you should arrange for delivery or pickup with your guests.
